The article doesn’t account for that number.
Basically it suggests that various large corporations are investing in programmes which benefit poorer or black communities.
It also states that BLM isn’t a centralised organisation.
Not quite sure what to make of it.

"Companies and corporations pledged or contributed an astonishing $82.9 billion to the BLM movement and related causes. "
@jj-adams saidAnd yet, there is not, never has been, except in the fantasy of Fox viewers, anything like "the BLM movement".
From the article:
"Companies and corporations pledged or contributed an astonishing $82.9 billion to the BLM movement and related causes. "
So yeah, where did it go? Perhaps into the pockets of Libertarians pretending to be "the BLM movement"?
@jj-adams saidExactly. One of the points I made.
From the article:
"Companies and corporations pledged or contributed an astonishing $82.9 billion to the BLM movement and related causes. "
And in thr article they expand on the “other causes”, with one example being 30 billion to one of these “other causes”.
That’s an extremely large figure. They don’f resource it or anything.
I could say you gave 20 billion to BLM as well. But without anything to back that up, it’s not got much worth.
