Comon now...thats not showing confidence! For the new year you will be 1900+ . Just watch closely every single move. Dont make one single move without thought! Even if a queen was offered to you, there is always a snake lying in wait. Usually when a queen is offered to you without trade, a checkmate is usually very soon to follow.
I'm all for the 'aim high' approach, but 1900 by new year might be a 'tad' unrealistic. 🙂 still, I feel 1600+ should be reasonable. at least the rate i'm going it seem's even probable, but I expect hit a wall just about now. - I do a lot of tactics on CTS, and was just about to break 1400 barrier a week ago. CTS-ratings seem to be anywhere from 200-500pts less than OTB-ratings for most people... then I reverted to doing tactics-problems with 90% success rate instead of the 67% I was doing. that set me back about 100pts, but I already feel a lot more confident analysing positions right instead of fast. and I find myself starting to indentify 'candidate moves' intuitively, a concept I couldn't grasp just a week ago. It just seemed illogical that it'd be possible to find the candidates for calculation, without calculating them first.
I keep expecting to plauteau on rhp-rating, but it just keeps rising. what a terrible situation. and the wins keep coming in, which makes me overconfident and careless. I hope I'll lose more. 🙂
