They must have removed my thread. π΅
On the subject of the dudes getting banned Ivan Ivanovitch did not appear to know a game we were playing Game 3538099 was perpetual check and after offering him a draw I had to use the claim draw button. The nick Ivan Ivanovitch sounds bogus anyway and any legitimately strong player should know what a perpetual is. Imagine if we got to move 40 with him still checking me?

Originally posted by RamnedIt is not true that engine players play only against 2000+ players. If you look at their high gameloads, they hoover all possible open invites and enter all tournaments they can. Improv even has a provisional player in his games in progress. If you had an open invite he would have taken it too.
I feel sorry for those 2000+ players who must contemplate and actual play games against engines. So boring and pointless, I presume?
Originally posted by z00tRight on - he hoovered up a pair of mine. I beat him in both games, though, so I can't think he had engine assistance at that point.

SoulSaxy, on the other hand, pm'd me (in French!) with a game offer, then proceeded to demolish me. I shan't miss him.

Originally posted by RamnedIt doesn't bother me that much as if its a good game I can still learn from it but what gets frustrating is that (and this depends on the opening choosen and ones style of play) after a while you begin to feel something surreal as no matter what you do your opponent comes up with a better (unexpected but perfectly choosen) response.
I was referring to people like Fat Lady and yourself, DF π
Saying how annoying it must be for you geniune players to have to play boring games against forged players.
As a general rule when playing a human there are points in the game where you feel (and subsequent analysis with an engine would prove) that a "lost" game has swung ever so slightly back your way yet against an engine this never happens, you are just slowly and relentlessly ground down no matter how much time and care you take on any move. This is particularly relevant with tactical traps - an engine never falls for them and if you get it ever so slightly wrong you are punished severely.
I have never played any of the 3 most recently banned players but there are others out there who I still feel uncomfortable with although I have never reported anyone as I would hate to be wrong and I assume eveyone is innocent until proven guilty (by someone else).
Originally posted by MathurineSoulsaxy apparently played a very funny game Game 3836511 because he had computer troubles. Putting pieces enprise like that could mean in real he could be very weak.
