Game 1950764
my opponent accused me of using an engine. I dont think an engine would use that opening. I think people have their good days and bad days.

Maybe he is having a good day?
This game looks like he is having a bad day... Game 2829095
I played a guy who was rated >1000 and he beat me, i was sure there must've been foulplay as i can beat 1450+ on a good day. I guess there's not much you can do but maybe accept that you just dropped the ball that time.
I'm playing the guy in a clan challenge now, just to see what happens. If i don't win 2 for 2, i'm giving up chess forever 🙁
Originally posted by huckleberryhoundwhen you lose by a simple fatal blunder, it doesn't matter if your opponent is 1200 or 2200 as he had nothing to do with it. that kind of errors will pretty much stop around 1600 (meaning you can't get higher until you stop doing them, even if your strategy was GM level), but until that almost all of your lost games will be decided by simple carelessness instead of you being outplayed.

Originally posted by SilentDeathYou must be kidding. An engine user would not be rated 1000 or 1300 not even 2000 unless he is using an engine very badly. Engines are rated much higher than us and they play tactics perfectly.

Originally posted by wormwoodI disagree. Players rated above 1600 make blunders (eg Game 2455246 where my opponent was graded above 1900 at the time), they just don't make them as oftem. Heck, even 2800+ GMs miss mates in 1 at times.
