Well Fischer said himself that it wasn't him during one of his radio interviews in the Philippines. I see no reason not to believe him.
Also, it doesn't make any sense if you think about it. He apparently logs on to ICC as a guest in order to be anonymous but then tells Short that he's Fischer?!
