Add player's rating besides his handle, as it appears in all lists

Only Chess

i make the same recommendation that i made 5 or 6 years ago, that is that the players rating should always appear, in all lists for example, right beside his handle; so instead of ''Russ'' what would appear is ''Russ1117'', instead of ''Brrr'' what would appear is ''Brrr1900''. instead of ''sd250'' what would appear is ''sd2501810'', instead of ''Mark Browning'' what would appear is ''Mark Browning1416'' and so on, for each player; and we should be able to rank our opponents, if we want to, by order of rating. I made this recommendation 5-6 years ago, but it was just ignored. I still stand by this recommendation

A user's rating is not part of their screen name.

If you cannot be arsed to look up someone's rating before challenging them, it is only your own issue, no one else's.

You are only looking to equate a user's standing in this community with their rating.

Not very egalitarian.

Interesting idea, but it's not necessary. It only takes a few mouse clicks to look up someone's rating.

It means if you cannot be bothered....

If the rating is added to the name some people may look at a players grade as some kind
of IQ rating and question their right to post or join in a discussion. I have seen players being
told they do not know what they talking about discussing a non-chess matter because their rating is low.
A high rating or even a GM title means you are good at a game, nothing more.

Egalitarianism is a school of thought within political philosophy that builds on the concept of social equality, prioritizing it for all people. Egalitarian doctrines are generally characterized by the idea that all humans are equal in fundamental worth or moral status. As such, all citizens of a state should be accorded equal rights and treatment under the law. Egalitarian doctrines have supported many modern social movements, including the Enlightenment, feminism, civil rights, and international human rights.

One key aspect of egalitarianism is its emphasis on equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances. This means ensuring that everyone has access to the same resources, education, and opportunities to succeed in life. By promoting equal opportunities, egalitarianism aims to level the playing field and reduce disparities that result from social inequalities.

Quite right.

And if, as you say, a player's rating "appears in all lists", then do you really need to tack it onto their user name?

It inflates the importance of the rating, and seems a solution in need of a problem.

It doesn't work when players have numeric characters in their name,
