The ISBN is: 0-87568-231-6, or alternatively, "A White Opening System" again by Soltis, which combines the Stonewall, Colle and Torre Attack. The ISBN for that one is ISBN: 0-87568-205-7. Either present a complete opening system for white.

Right?
Actually, I misled you. My opponent was fond of the Torre, not the Colle. I typed before that first cup of coffee this morning, sorry. 😳

Yes, blunting Bg5 was the purpose. Whether this works against the Colle, I cannot say. But it certainly made it harder for my opponent to decide where his bishop belongs.

Here's the game. It was a fairly quick slaughter after my opponent's blunder on move 9.

By the way, someone in the c ...[text shortened]... od for combatting(sp?) the London System, or is there something else I should adopt against him?
I highly reccomend the nimzo indian. It is a very easy opening to learn and has multiple ways to proceed that won't lead you astray. You may need a bogo-indian line as well but I have used the same ideas as the nimzo and done alright.

I was wondering what UCU stood for. Splitters!

I'd recommend 2.c3 against the Sicillian. It stops Black from swapping his c pawn for your d pawn and most Sicillian players don't know it too well.

Yea I gave the c3 Siclian a punt in a tournament once and managed to simply overwhelm my opponent with a rolling pawn centre (he didn't know the main line though).

I don't really like to play it because it slows the game down where as the main line Sicilian (especially the Dragon) are much faster and more exciting.

Allow me to disagree regarding the London book. I suggest "Win with the London System":
