checkmate question

Black places White into check. May White move to place Black into Mate while leaving the White king in check?

It is illegal when any side has a privelage to capture his opponent's king , so if I checked you and you checkmated me back , then I wuold be the first one to take your king , so I would win but king taking is impossible in chess (excepting Monochrome Chess) so it's obviously illegal.

Must not be in check to deliver the mate. It doesn't matter one iota if you on the next move you'll checkmate. You're in check! Sorry!

you can however deliver mate while getting out of check🙂
