The Caro-Kann by GM Peter Wells (Gambit 2007)
and
The Caro-Kann by GM Lars Schandorff (Quality Chess 2010)
Both books are strategically excellent and tactically useful.

Obviously, I should have started with move 5 and not 4. But just thought I would clear that up since it is too late to edit it now.
Originally posted by YourWorstKnightmareThe first book, The Caro-Kann by GM Peter Wells (Gambit 2007) is more like what I think he is looking for because it seems to cover all three variations he mentioned. It is not clear to me that the second book you mentions covers the 4...Nf6 variation at all because it appears to be for Black.

Chapters 7 and 8 of GM Neil McDonald's Main Line Caro-Kann (Everyman 2000) also explores 4...Nf6 lines.
