It's just that they don't care until it bites them in the posterior. Then they care. People are often funny that way.
Then in the end, does it really matter, as the Site Owner/ Owners will decide on who the Game Mods will be anyways 😛

And your second premise is flawed as well; they care that whatever means that are used are effective. Perhaps you don't, but it's pretty obvious from reading the Public and Private Forums and from the PMs flying around, that most customers here want engine use eradicated if possible.
They certainly don't seem to care who deals with the problem of engine use or how the problem of engine use is dealt with. Of course we know that about 300 people care very passionately about the matter but they are far too busy scoring points off each other to get the REAL majority involved in this!
Originally posted by Keplerabout the ones who never read forums... well, how could they even know whom to vote for? where as the rest of us have a pretty good idea on who's to be trusted and who's not.

Edit - Oops, please pardon my dangling participle. 😲

In fact, I suspect the vast majority of customers, paying or non-paying, are blissfully unaware of the whole mess!

Originally posted by KeplerI guess you can't have accurate polling on any issue unless EVERYBODY is asked. Is that your "argument"?

Originally posted by no1marauderI think that instead of squabbling among themselves those who supposedly care so much about engine use (especially those who wish to be voted for) should do more to publicise the matter to those who apparently know nothing about it!

I think the issue of whether engine use should or should not be allowed is a non-issue. The rules of the site clearly forbid it and most people will say they are against it even if they are actually an engine cheat, to do otherwise would be inviting attack and accusation. What we should be doing is dealing with the matter of how engine use is detected and dealt with. We have a vote for a reconstituted game mod teams but it is apparent that the vast majority of customers don't know about it.

The Site Admins didn't feel it necessary for whatever reason to publicize it. To some extent, I suspect the whole vote thing is a way to mark time and cool down the Forums. Obviously if that is a goal, then publicizing the vote would be counterproductive.

The only conclusion we can draw from the vote that I see is that those who have voted prefer to have high rated players here on the Game Mod team.

It would be better than the constant cheating accusation codswallop. I think in stead of a game mod team we should have a Cheat Finder General. Sort of like a Witch Finder General but with a nicer hat.
I'm thinking... a pointy one, maybe magenta (to impart a sense of eminence), done in velvet and brocade, but not too much gold.
Game moderators shall be made to wear this hat while performing their duties while another team of moderators ensures compliance by round the clock observation via webcam.
