DAILY REPORT: A Stunning Start!
The lots have been drawn, the festival has been declared open, the gong was struck, and so the Corus 2009 is on in full swing!

It will be interesting to see Morozevich in this tournament. Usually he plays very "tasty" chess. Yesterday he lost his first game, so i expect him to fight today

It seems like Chuki & Moro forgot the meaning of the word "draw".
Ivanchuck played very strong against Rajabov but blitzed at the end of the game and made a couple of bad moves. Morozevich was sure that he much better than Kamsky, played too risky and just lost too fast.
Morozevich is playing really bad chess, that sacrifice against Domingeuz was just laughable. I don't know if he plays weird sub-systems simply to be original but I think that if someone would just slap him in the face and force him to play main lines he would get much better results.
Sometimes it seems like he picks this weird sideline the day before the game and just gets surprised at move 9 or something (his Grunfeld against Wang Yeu).
