It's true. He posted the game in a forum with annotation and all. I believe him. In Fact, doing a search for David Tebb on the internet (sorry to get so into this), you can find one or two of his games played at a chess club in England somewhere. David Tebb is obviously who he says he is. Any time we get a good player here he is always subjecting to scutiny! π
And definitely no contraversy about him.

I see that despite 6 years of intense study of the game bbarr still needs to resort to databases. That"s weird! Surely his number 2 ranking is therefore meaningless. It's like an Olympic athlete or Tim McGuire pumped up on steroids- put a big asterisk beside that achievement. My ranking is too low for bbarr to accept a challenge, but that's OK, I can play a computer database anytime- there's no difference. How many of the RHP "top" players are similarly pumped up on steroids?

there is a very big difference between using a database and using a computer program throughout the game.
if i was to use databases etc and bbarr not use them, i would still put my money on bbarr even at incredibly high odds !!!
i think you will find the databases are more of a learning facility and less of a "steroid".
