OK ... I get it now.
The black king cannot take a rook or queen on a8 because the game is already over.
Weird 😲

A draw while in check!

Do I understand correctly that the game was drawn as soon as for example Ra1-a8 was played? And the reason for this is that the only legal move leads to a position where a checkmate can no longer be achieved?

So normally, putting a major piece en prise is a draw after the capture, whereas here it is a draw a half-move earlier because the capture is the only move?

Yes, you are correct. This position is dead, because ...KxR is forced:

But this one is not dead, because white doesn't have to take the Q:

You were close - you recognized that a position with an uncaptured B or N was already dead. I was just waiting for you to say the same about a position with black uncapturing an R or Q on a8.

Did quite understand the rules.

I could not see how to force that position any other way than Q or R a8.
You cannot force the King to take on c3. I was way off course.

OK, here's another one. I don't know the solution to this one.

OK, I think I solved it. It's not too hard.

And the last move wasn't ...d6xc5 because that's already dead.
