Does Chess ever get boring to anyone?

it does to me

Sometimes you just need to take a break off. Last summer I got sick of studying and playing. Now I can't get enough of it. 😛 Just different phases.

Bores me to tears, chess sucks.

Of course it can get boring! And not only when you're losing, but even when the situation is simply complex (no pun intended... 😉).

That's why I always play games with enormous time controls, so I can take my time...

Frank Marshall wrote in his autobiography (which he wrote when he was in his early sixties), that he didn't remember a single day in his adult life when he didn't play a game of chess. He further observed that he loved the game now as much as ever. I'm in the same boat as Marshall. I never get bored with it.

It does. That's when it's best to take a break. The alternative is to blunder a lot.

I think the better you are at chess the more fun it is

Chess is always fun, i only stop playing when i do make silly blunders, i dont stop playing because i am bored though, i stop because I dont want to make a habit of it!
