I was playing my friend some blitz on yahoo several years ago. He asked me if I knew what in pasionts was? and i said no. So he moved his pawn 2 squares forward, I took en passant and he's like what???
You said you didn't know what it was, and i'm like O, you meant en passant. Of course my passed pawn won the game 🙂

Did you figure he meant en passant originally or you just pleaded ignorance anyway?

I can't recall the exact spelling but I thought he was talking about so sort of fruit or maybe a french word because the spelling was really wrong so no I didn't do it on purpose.
