I vote 1...e6
Are we gonna close the voting and start making the next move in due course? I'm starting to wonder how long this game will take... will it ever be finished at this rate?

IMHO, this will not work if you give more than one day for each side to move. People are not going to have the patience to sit around for a year for this game.
Originally posted by sh76In an earlier thread, I said at least a day. Tom Tom said that isn't nearly enough time. I agree that it probably isn't enough time because a big percentage of members probably don't log on every single day. I started the original thread for the idea and contacted PAWN RIOT about the conditions. I'm going to be keeping up with everything and relaying the moves back and forth. I KNOW no matter what I choose that everyone isn't going to be happy. Please just bare with it and let's see how it goes. This is only a "test run" or rough draft. No doubt, in future matches this will be done more efficiently. Tom Tom for instance wanted five strong players to be in charge so to speak to avoid blunders. I didn't really go with that format because I wanted everyone to have a say (good or bad). Later, we can go over analysis BEFORE voting.

1...c5 by the way.
Edit: How will it work in later stages of the game? PAWN RIOT can read our plans and ideas.

What is the difference? I'm not trying to be smart. I would just like to know.
A new thread like "White's move 8," with the pgn (coming into the move) in the first post, I think, would make more sense.
Originally posted by sh76No, that is not a problem. You can click "last post" of a thread and then you are on the top of the last page. However, you have to go some pages backwards to find the page where the next move has been displayed.
