π Cool game, Patricia. Never seen 4 queens in a game before.
(besides set piece games, I mean.)
Some people may complain that you didn't just checkmate him but chess is to be played for fun and if getting 4 queens is fun for you then you should do it. If your opponent doesn't like it he/she should just resign.
Maybe in your next game you will get five or six queens. Good luck on that! π

I've never understood this behaviour.
A clean kill in a couple of moves must be better than getting a number of queens first. To what purpous?
Of course, when it comes down to it, you don't get any extra points for a mate with 7 queens over 1 so just get the win and move on.
In any case, a monkey could mate with 7 queens on the board, it's not like it's some kind of feat of skill.

Originally posted by Dragon FireMy thoughts exactly. For me, a simple mate in a game when up a Q against pawns would be straightforward.

I think FabianFnas is missing the point with the obvious "go for the quick kill" post.
What will I learn from forcing the K to the edge/corner or into a mating net including some of my pawns then finishing?
There is more risk & more difficulty in getting 6 Q's & avoiding stalemate. If my foe intends to play on then why not improve my technique in the process?
I'll go for the 6 Q's if he allows.
