Explain your "cheated" term if you will.

Kasparov broke the touch rule in his game against Polgar in 1994. He is probably greatest chess player of all times, but definetely not the greatest sportman. His behaviour during last year Linares best game nomination was not very nice either.

You are saying he touched a piece without saying I adjust and was not required to move said piece? How did he get away with that? Kids play the game that way. I once saw a tennis player say that he touched the net . The play was reversed to Game set and match.

He played Nd7-c5 and then quickly changed his mind and move his knight to f8. Arbiter did not notice this, Polgar was visibly surprised, but played on and lost eventually.

I found the game in ChessMaster's analyzed games. The Knight move to c5 is a blunder. A 1500 point USCF rated player should not make such a blunder? ChessMaster stated that Polgar was low on time and was affriad to protest and risk being punished with time taken off her clock. She was also concerned that it might cost her a chance of another such tournament invite. It was also stated that he had lost grip of the Knight for 1/5 of a second. I do not know if you are allowed to move a piece and see that it is a bad move then move it to another square in the same motion.

in one motion is ok, but not after releasing the piece, Kasparov's shame was compounded when a video of his fingers letting go was shown, i heard he punished Polgar for her after game remarks by only agreeing to participate in events if she wasn't invited. Quite a gentleman, he would love RHP 😵

I've been playing the French defense for 20+ years and can say with some experience that it is a rock solid defense for black giving a lot of fine opportunities to crack the white position. That is especially the case if the opponent knows less about the opening than you do ;-)

From my experience it is entertaining. Black can handle French either in the solid or very aggresive fashion. But French is not easy, especially if you play for a win. Often one small mistake leads to the quick disaster. I had many of this:-)

White have a lot of different options against French. So it is up to you to have something fresh on the board without betraying e4:-)
