Whoa?!! Capablanca and Fischer were predominantly positional players? I remember both better for their attacking game.
They could attack but both are considered to be positional players, whereas Kasparov plays more in the style of Alekhine.

Seriously, this is is standard. I am not making it up!!

I would like to add a precision.

The World Championship, in its 1980's form was required by Fischer in his match against Karpov in 1975. In other words, he wanted that :
- an unlimited number of games
- the first player who gets 6 victories is the world champion

Before, for example during the Fischer Spassky match, it was an old system : the best of 24 games where he won against Spassky with a score of 7 victories against 3 (after 21 games).

Something astonished me, Capablanca is reputed to be a positionnal player, he has the best skills for the exploitation of slight advantages.

Fischer is a pure offensive player, like Kasparov (in the 1980's), Tal, Alekhine.
