But, as you said, White is in check. What does White do after 1. Kb1 BxB or 1.QxN BxB ? (1. axN is suicide and 1. cxN BxB+).

Doesn't work, 2. Rd8+ Rxd8 and white has nothing (Bxd8 Kxd8 or Bxc6 Nxc6)
