Other methods to obtain the book.
Check out your local libray borrow it and 'lose it', tell them you left
it on a bus. They rarely ask for the top price, if they do, find it again!
It's not theft - you are buying it at a (hopefully) reduced price.
I got the idea from an Urban survial guide, it's also mention in VIZ.
Theft would be taking it from the library without checking it out.
Henderson issue is something else, I'm getting a serious thrashing
from the original owner who thinks I have sold them, Sloop is ignoring my pleas for an update.
Advised would make his actions public if no contact.
No contact, So I did.

anyway i bought My system a couple of years ago. After all the hype I thought it was a must have. It isnt. Its ok but long winded and boring. Many better books availalble and half the price too.
The master game series is pretty rare and valauble is it not?. Somebodies snatched theselves a bargain.
They were mentioned again in latest CHESS. Everyone wants them.
Our plan was to get them converted and dish them out free
to anyone who wanted a copy.
Have email from Sloop saying they arrived in January and then that's it.
It's a sorry messy buisiness.
Which My System did you buy - not the orginal thing. The newer versions are OK.
You never know.
There may just be within those pages that one lesson/sentence/example that makes
everything fall into place.

Viz is Britain's top selling comic.

Master Game was the best ever chess seen on TV. Brilliant games
with Kaprov, Miles, Larson etc explaining their ideas and moves.
BBC do not have any copies but one guy taped them on Betamax.
He sent them to me - I at the request of John.B. Henderson sent
them to him in the USA to get them put onto DVD.
("We sailed in the Sloop John B" - hence the nickname 'Sloop'.)
He said he got them safe and sound - that was in January. Since then Nothing.
Original owner now quite upset with me, no, wrong word.
He's absolutley furious and thinks I've pulled a flanker.
I have tried every means I can think of to contact JBH - nothing.
I've emailed the newspaper he writes for, the website he works for,
(I still get a flyer from his site every week signed John Henderson).
I email back. Nothing. No reply.
(No Reply is a Beatles song - Sloop John B was by the Beach Boys)
So I plastered his name on the Chess Scottish NB hoping one of
his buddies would come forth with a contact.
So far nothing.
I'll keep you up to date if you wish.
PS: Latest Top Tip fro Viz:
GIRLS. MAKE people think you are a nurse by growing a massive arse.

Sorry, GP, I'm not with you on this one. I don't abide by lying and deception that counters the public good for my own selfish interest.

Out of curiosity I'm going to go to the Library tomorrow
and ask what really happens if I lose a book.
I'll let you know how I got on.
Be good if someone else in another country asks as well, so we can compare notes.
I even think that if the book hasn't been checked out by anyone else for over a year you get no fine at all.But not 100% sure on that.
What else can they do?Send the police with a search warrant?
