I'd really love to hear what you think about this program, since I am using it.
The puzzles are relatively easy, they give you 3 mins to solve each puzzle, though most can be done much quicker(atleast the first module up to unit 10, thats how far ive done).
I think its a great program. Ive won a few games using some of the tactics in it.
But I think one has to do millions of puzzles before you actually use them, but you do use the theme their based on.
Please give me your thoughts.

Example puzzle, from No.6
EDIT: actually that doesn't lead anywhere. The only other thing I see is trapping the Black Queen with Ba6, bxa6, Nc6 wins.
You have only done the easy units. The first module has 51 units for tactics. There are 6 modules. They start you out with one move solutions and gradually get harder. I'm on module 3 and they get pretty difficult. You can also adjust the time.
Personal Chess trainer is very similar but is a little better. If you make a wrong move it tells you why it is wrong.

What do you mean by ply?
Anyway, so you like the program and use it regularly? Or have you finished all of the tactics?(wow)
EDIT: Wow, nice puzzle, I dont at all know the solution, mind providing it?
Cant wait untill I reach that level, probably in half a year... or more.
after 30 modules i just gave up and started at no.6

Yeah I know im at the easy ones. I mentioned that its only easy until module 10 where I am.
Thanks for your reply.
I wonder how long it will take me to finish ALL of the tactics...

I prefer Chess Mentor as a teaching aid, as it explains concepts and positions very well.
I'm not sure if I agree with PCT's concept that you don't have to know the rules (of the endgame say), you'll learn them from just seeing the positions.
