Swizzle is not mentioned in FAQ so it's OK.

The fact you may have two indentical games in your games
history is a pure coincidence.

Whats the odds of two game repeating themselves. very good I'd say.

I mean how many different positions can there possibly be after 30 moves?

400, 500, 700? not much more than that.
Are you kidding? I've heard there are more possible positions in a 40 move game than there are atoms in the universe (or some crazy number like that)

Check this page out.

Of course he is kidding. On first white move, 20 possible positions, after first black 400. 😛 That's quite a bit.

Never heard of it affecting corres players before but OTB it's very common.

Expect players will come on here and tell of you of a player they
simply cannot beat even though he losses to everyone they can beat.

I had 9-0 and 8-0 wins v two players and one guy I'm 0-5 against me.

I even travelled one ...[text shortened]... s 😀

The bad news: If the strong player is using a box then you will
both get banned. 😉[/b]
This is a form of cheating, you swizzled to get another user to make your moves. Send feedback if you want the official answer from an RHP admin (subject cheating).

No you are the fish dangling at the end of my line. 😉

I thought I'd cacth more - I did not expect to catch you.

As every Russian schoolboy knows there are over 9 million
possislbe positions after just three moves at Chess.

The Terms of Service state ¨previously played games¨ which does not include in progress games. However swizzle isn´t specifically mentioned.

You could go for a double swizzle and play your opponents moves against him. if he´s got enough in progress games (>500) then you could get him to play himself, and he may never know.
I can't imagine not noticing if someone tried the double swizzle on me.

Of course, I also can't imagine having 500 active games.

The TOS specifically permits reference of databases of previously played games so long as they were games between humans. I never realized that was legal.

That's a huge resource; thanks for pointing that out.

And that double swizzle thing was a plot device on a cruise ship in a Love American Style episode from back in the 70's. The guy got caught and I think they threw him overboard. 🙂
