I haven't really posted any of my own games. I noticed a lot of the stronger players post wins on the forum. I'm going to do the unthinkable and post a loss.
Here is an unrated game that I recently played.
We played rather quickly, and I was ripped apart.
I wanted to try out the Halloween Gambit, so I set it up and posted an add in the invites room.
firedawn accepted my challenge and gave me quite the beating.
Upon further research I found out firedawn's only loss was a timeout.
He is one tough cookie. If you see this firedawn, well done, handshake. 🙂
Bear in mind we started with black to play on move 4.
First of all, let me mention the opening. I like to try different gambits. This was my first Halloween Gambit (in correspondence, I may have played it once or twice in blitz). Believe it or not move 13 is still theory. (http://www.chessville.com/UCO/Halloween_Gambit/UON13HalloweenGambit.pdf )
I felt as though 15. ... Bh4+ was a mistake because it gave the piece back. There are some nice tactics in the game around this point. I haven't analysed the game thoroughly but can't really find a way for white to improve. 21.d7+ was a desperate bid for counterplay. I doubt it was sound, but it had definite swindle potential. 🙂 The remainder of the game is me trying to work something up on his king, and him refuting every attempt. 🙂 When the smoke cleared, I was totally busted. Black played a very nice game.
I welcome any analysis/comments/criticisms on the game. Improvements would be overly welcome.
Just to be clear, the game is complete.
I have some more nice beatings if anyone cares to see them. 🙂

18. Qxg4 Ne3+ wins the queen. I'm in bad shape all around. 🙂
Edit: The black rook prevents mate but perhaps white can win a piece here.
Edit 2: Or what about 18. d7+ and then the knight check?
