My trial of this opening produced the following result

Not true.......there was an American (I think) player who used to open almost all his games 1.h4. If I still had the Mammoth Book of Chess id look up the players name, there was a reference to him in it. Harry something or other maybe.

It would be boring playing so many identical games and players rated 1800 will make me think more so I won't be able to complete them in 2 days.
Results of 1. g4 available soon. 6 games completed and only 4 to go!

I had a book by him, "Exploring the Chess Openings" (I think) back in the early 80s
