You give white free control of the centre at the start.

Wheras the sicilian c5

and the KID Nf6

You immediately contest it.

very true....(pirc is actually a KID formation against e4 and d4 where as KID is against d4 as you know)

BUT!! isn't KID and 1...c5 very theoretical?,....long forcing variations?

I also heard that nobody play the KID anymore?
