very true....(pirc is actually a KID formation against e4 and d4 where as KID is against d4 as you know)
BUT!! isn't KID and 1...c5 very theoretical?,....long forcing variations?
I also heard that nobody play the KID anymore?
At our level no ones going to be playing long force variations against either opening.
In fact when you play c5 you're usually faced with Bc4.
People do usually reply c4 to Nf6, but h3 or something else assinine usually follows.
KID is still played.

you're right about chess at our level.....we study openings like we are GM's....but then my damn opponent is out of book at move 4!!!
anyway...i've always been attracted to the pirc...after all...its a universal system for black! atleast i think
I try and take my KID's and AD down the same route, maybe that's why my grading is soo low.
