Game 845365
Back after my cooling off period :-)
Fritz went with Qh6. It even thinks we have a slight advantage of .37

OK, I'll start, what about Bc4?

I like the suggestion of Bc4. But how about Re1 first?
let's see Bc4 threatens the pawn at f7, which would be good except that there is Ne5. Bf3 is again countered by Ne5 (that nasty knight). Re1 looks interesting (now white threatens Bc4) while Nc4 does seem to strengthen white's control over the center.
So my favorites for the next move would be Re1 and Nc4.
I like Re1, In this position white is very open to a strong attack from fritz, i think that black will play to rid white of his light square bishop giving him a small advantage, but also, if the rook is moved to e1, you can expect a6 to push the knight back, and then possibly a push to rid the bishop with Nd4, or possibly e6?!?!? control the center and stop whites knights from advancing especially if white does want to play Nc4 and then Ne5?

Id go with Nc4, had a quick look for a reference game for the position, after Nc4.

The knight has to shift its rear end at some point, I much prefer c4 to f6, keeping it queenside adding to the protential pressure against the king.

Fritz has gone for d6, its also taken our .37 advantage and turned it into a .06 disadvantage in its eyes.

Im going to suggest we play Bh5, after fritz move we play Nxd6, cxd6, Nxd6, then Nxf7 and Nxh8, we can always get the knight back out of the corner no matter what fritz plays. How does it take you lot?
... but the knight will not escape alive from h8.
Let me fill in the spaces in your idea:
12. Bh5 Qf6 (I think that 12. ... Bh3 transposes into the main line) 13. Nbxd6 cxd6 14. Nxd6 Nge7 (14. ... g6?! seems to be weak after 15. Bf3) 15. Nxf7+ Kc7 16. Nxh8 Bh3 17. Re1 Rxh8 18. Qf3!?
with an unclear position; IMHO may be white is standing slightly better.
Note that we have traded 2 minor pieces for a rook + 2 pawns.
I'd play this line against a human player... but against a machine, caveat emptor...
Cheers
P.S.: it is obvious that 12. ... g6 is a blunder. 13. Nxc7 and white has decisive advantage.
