MMP is a total ejit. No one doubts this.
3 year forum ban for naming someone whos not hiding their name is a little excessive. If Kasparov was playing on the site under a handle but not keeping it a secret and I named him in the forum would I recieve a 3 year ban? Probably not.
Im probably not going to bother to renew my subscription, having MMP act like a wassock in the forums was bad enough but understandable not the mods or site owners fault.....however a 3 year ban of Fat Lady who is a core part of the chess forum isnt understandable at all.....its almost like an attempt to kill off the community.

If said user had been warned/banned already for gross misconduct then it isn't. Does said user have any 'prior'?

I heard at some point that it's against TOS to call someone an 'idiot'.
1) Discussions in forums can often get heated, but while you may take issue with another poster's viewpoint, you must not resort to personal attacks or abuse. Do not post offensive or inflammatory remarks that stray beyond the bounds of reasoned debate. Calling another poster an "idiot" will leave a post subject to immediate removal.
Insults like "whining little mongoloid" sound a little worse to me than "idiot"... I haven't alerted his posts because I would only alert posts which are likely to cause real harm, and his posts are so ridiculous that I doubt anyone really feels insulted by them, but I'd say most of them violate the TOS.
