Yeah, noone ever loses games...especially against an ex-Woman's World Champion. Vishy Anand lost a game in 6 moves. Your post says nothing.
My post says a lot and I am sure that some people will grab these games and study them carefully as well as the article about the dragon that I posted elsewhere in this thread.
If we are going to judge which post says more let us compare:
1. I offered some games for people to study
2. Your post was just dismissive and non-constructive
Originally posted by RahimKI never said that the Dragon has been refuted or anything alike. In fact,I own GM Ward's book and respect people that play the dragon (as I said, I choose relatively coward lines in the Yugoslav attack)
And anyways plenty of GMs play it. Look for an English GM called Chris Ward. It is a favourite of his and he's known for being well up to date with the theory.
perhaps u didn't see the video yet... This english GM called chris ward has the black pieces in the video and watch what happens to him !!!

HAS THE DRAGON BEEN SLAIN?
It is a fun opening and I very much like playing the White side against it...

I did not even play through those games but im like 100% sure he did not lose them in the opening. I sure hope you can find more then 3 losses.
Anyway anyone who qeastions the soundness of the dragon can send me over a chalenge and we'll see how long you last.
And I am sure you might be right. However, aren't those games of any value for the Dragon player? Wouldn't you be curious as to what Gufeld did and learn from it? By the same token, I can show you twice as many games won by Gufeld in the same opening...
Let me state it here one more time:
I respect Dragon players for their courage and I tremble any time I have to face it. I mean this with all my heart...
In regards to your public challenge, I will take it warning you that I am just a mediocre player trying to learn.
Cheers!
Originally posted by RahimKI had seen the video before i posted that. "Is the Dragon slain?" - What a load of bobbins if you don't mind me saying. Since when would one GM losing a game to a stronger GM warrant saying the Dragon is slain? Maybe it is for the Fed but not for you or me. We can blunder away until the cows come home without having to worry about nuances of theory.

Of course I don't question the soundness of the dragon but I do think that it is very complicated to play the Black side of this opening.
I took the challenge posted by my now good friend LordOfTheChessboard and this is what came out of it:
Game 947146
Of course, this is hardly conclussive evidence that the dragon is undound but nonetheless I wanted to show what came out of this interesting debate. I am sure that LordOfTheChessboard will go back to his lab and refine his nefarious schemes in the dragon and proceed to crush me next time. For the time being he is trying his hand on the Sveshnikov [ I shall say that I find this opening positionally suspect but who can argue with Kramnik that uses it consistently? ]
Another game that I played against Dustnrogers with the dragon went like this:
Game 884216
Of course, I made lots of mistakes in both games and shall endeavour to correct them for future outings... I will say this aloud:
The dragon is not unsound but there are very, very narrow paths to equality that very few players know.
I hope these two games help to enrich this debate on the dragon.
