i dont wish to prolong this further but i read the original post and one of those named has still to move since the original accusation. in adition if trackhead was using an illegal device as per the TOS then it wasnt done against me cos we were chatting right through all of our games. unlike the infamous dscp who when i sent him a message during our games he/she/it didnt respond at all.
i just think that our charlie is an extremely good player.
as far as his gf goes i wanna rematch!
One thing about using some kind of "spy" on the server to detect chess engines running while on the RHP site: What happens if user A is waiting for a move and decides to analyze a previously-played game while waiting? User A loads the old game into his/her favourite engine and is nailed for cheating. Not right, not fair and just wrong.
I'd like to offer another view on the topic of cheaters using engines. For me, I'm just trying to use my play time here to have more time to research the actual ideas behind the openings; plans by both sides; so that when I play in "real time" I'm a better chess player. If someone uses a computer angainst me and hits me with a tactical shot that I didn't see coming then that's only going to help me. Why? Because like any dedicated aspiring chess player I'm going to go back over my games, see where I went wrong and be better prepared next time, especially when I'm playing in "real time". If my opponent misses the tactical shot, and lets say I win easily, chances are I'm not even going to spend the time it takes to put the game into the computer and have it analyzed because I really don't expect to ever see the position again anyway. When we meet these cheaters over the board when they can't use their engines we'll smash them, and that's the most important thing. They are only cheating themselves by not making the mistakes they normally would and learning from them. Also, I think that players should very rarely even think about their rankings. Search for the truth in chess and forget about the rest.
One last thing, there have been many games I played where my opponent probably thought I was a Master or "Cheater" but there's also many where I hang my queen to a discovered check in my eagerness to attack and look like a dope π

Sure have fun etc. However as i picked out the game at random from the cheater to post here, i was disapointed when i saw his opponent in the game. I dont really know him and have only had two games against him, but he came across a nice guy who provided a fun and very much enjoyed game. He is also very active on these forums in taking his time to help other people. It just makes me sad that this person spent his time thinking about his moves, expecting he was playing a human, while the other player just put them into an engine because he has low self esteem and wants people to go wooo at his rating. We REALLY shouldnt have to put up with this crap. I went and checked a lot of the games from the people on the list Track gave, some of them i couldnt see them using an engine, but some clearly were.
A while back someone said well what can we do about it, and my responce was just bi*ch and moan and thats about it. Someone else then went on to say there are rules on the site that means they will get kicked off if they are caught cheating. Well some of them have been caught and can proven, so what now ?
Grey, I don't think you used a great example game, though I agree that my engine shows roughly the same responses as yours. However a5 (or a6), 0-0, and Bd7 are all moves that Black will have to play, so would be made by anyone. The f6 break is thematic and would occur as a candidate move to any reasonable player I think, then Qxf6, Qe7, Be8 are all fairly obvious moves. Na6 also looks more sensible then Nd7 or any other move.
The issue I have is that I all the moves played fit into a broadly thematic plan for Black, and would have occured to any player over about 1800 who has a good idea about the variation. I don't see any that are obviously 'computer' rather than human.

People with multiple accounts, people who use computer assistance, people who allow a third part to play, and many other things but no actions were taken,so our only resource is whining in forums.
Sad but true.

Hello Trackhead
In view of my rather long username being one of the names on your list, I feel that entitles me to make a few comments regarding you.
1. At the present moment in time there seems to be some confusion as to who exactly is playing your games of chess, you, your girlfriend, or a chess engine, (yes i read the posts in the uChes ...[text shortened]... s applied.
Sorry for ranting, but i feel i was entitled to that little rant.
forevergreen.
Having seen my nick on this post I've decided to reply, otherwise I wouldn't bring these matters to the public.
I don't approve Trackhead21 decision to bring names out here, but have to agree that playing against some players with 1100-1500 rating who move like 2000+ is a little suspicious and annoying to their opponnent.
I've been against players that were suspicious about me as well, and we have spoken about this matter, but the only way I had to convince them otherwise was to keep playing my best chess.
So, forevergreenwithenvy, we have already spoken about this, and I haven't seen any changes from you.
One advice "More chess, less talk".
