Well said.

I see no point, but my point was, its the nature of the game, there is a large margin of
draws at the top level because players are so evenly matched.

Can anyone watch match commentary from the official site on Android ?

Somehow for me it does not work(while US Championship similar site live video does work).

yeah i watched it on my kids smartphone for a little while but you get a message, not
optimised for mobile, but it still works, just watch it through a browser on the official
site. 27minutes, 1627seconds to go! weeeeeee!

thx...looks like working but it is somehow very slow, cannot hear properly the sound...
maybe the use a too high resolution for my phone strength(even I manage to see other sites live relays).

I will move to chessbomb.

I support somehow Anand to win but I find Gelfand chess more inspiring in the match until now...
This 3rd match looks the most interesting until now.

Anand was close to win, but missed his chances due to time trouble.

That was a much more exciting game. I've never seen Anand in time trouble before.

Speelman found an amusing line which might have been winning for Anand:

Timmans commentary in comparison to Short was awesome, it really was.

4. f4 threatens mate and seems to lead to a much better ending for White. For example:

Nice!
That f4 is strong indeed.I would've gone 4.... Rxd6 but it changes nothing.
I discarded f4 as just a silly mate threat.Must learn to look further into seemingly silly threats!

Good Anand didn't see it!although Gelfand probably had something else up his sleeve. But what else is there but Bf5......

Anand 1.5
Gelfand 1.5

What a game! Instead of playing quiet, positional opening with black pieces, Gelfand played Grunfeld again and almost lost the game.
I hope to use one of this 😀 😵 🙄 smilies tomorrow
