In a game my opponent has timed out but is only one move from checkmate. i have decided to let him win the game because i would actually feel bad about clicking the skull...
What would any one else do...reasons for and against clicking the skull
Go for the "Jugular vein" mate! skull him! that'll teach him not to dwindle and drag his knuckles when he is 1 move from mate.
I say, show no mercy and take no prisoners.!!! BRING HIM DOWN TO HIS KNEES!!! 😲
LOL I'm just joking really!. Its entirely up to you bro. I think it would be in the interest of the game not to skull him but to give him time play and see if he notices that mate in 1. GL 🙂
By the way, I wanted to see what it felt like saying what I did in the 1st paragraph......Crazy!
🙄 and I'm not schitsophrenic........me neither.........nor am I.......ROFL

It is a bit different at correspondence chess online, but nevetherless; you have an agreement, on beforehand, regulating your limits. Look for instance on this game Game 2405768, where Everyday (2328) loses on movetimeout to jfkjmh (2136) when Everyday, in move, is only one move from mating his opponent.

Personally I would like to behave politely, not clicking skull. But it might depend on setting in tournament and relation to the opponent.
