White ventured on an early attack.Black's last move was 12.... f5
How would you proceed? And with which idea(s) in mind?
This is not a puzzle. There isn't 1 clearly best move.

In a blitz probably Bxe7 Qxe7 O-O, now you ask it you probably want 1. f4 Bxg5 (1...h6? 2. Bxe7 Qxe7 3. Ng6) 2. fxg5 Qxg5 3. O-O

The game was played in 1913.They didn't have any links back then 😉

If you want to see the whole game it's
Capablanca-Blanco,Havana 1913
But no peeking to help determine your answer!

I do not want anything apart from what you would play in a regular game of chess when having that position.

It's not a trick,not a puzzle,not a whathaveyounot

In a normal game I would feel awkward as this is not my style of "setting up" a position, I don't like White's position much. Any reason why this specific position was given? Is it used in a book?

I would consider g4 as a strong candidate move, but would ned to see the position on a real board.

that's why i wanted the link to the game... whites position is awful, saying that blacks isn't that hot either. if i didn't think i could get my opponent's king out i would just trade off and see what the end game brings.
