Ok, I just looked at it and it looks like he reset the game to the inital configuration. Ok, I'll go with y'all... it does look like he's an idiot... 🙂
and said too bad you just didn't get the humor of his intended joke.

1300 player wins..maybe 30 points to his/her rating will be added....and by a much stronger act of God, if the 1300 player wins 6 or 7 of those in a row, why, that guy will be right up there with the big guns in no time!
Originally posted by sonhouseI looked at that game and wished that I was 2000+ just so I could accept. I suspect that (s)he isn't that good at chess, and it would be a laught trying to beat someone who starts with 5 queens & 2 rooks.
I'm playing one now, I think I have about 4 pieces on him but
by god, with his one rook and knight, he is determined to whip my
ass, umption that is. How bout this dude 'blueonion' has a challange

know, the kind that are unrated, and then sets up the beginning
position. Check it out, hit inf ...[text shortened]... sition he

i think you should give this a little easier stance. i personally love this game and all i want to do is play but can't seem to get out of my own shadow. sometimes players like me who have a real passion for chess need some encouragement from better players . sry for the rant.
Second pick up some chess books and start reading.
Winnning Chess Series by Yasser Seirwan would be perfect for you.
Check at your public library. They usually have them.

You might want to review my games with Lewellyn in my archives. He beats me at 1700s and then I lose 10+ points. Then, I beat him with a 1500+ rating and I only get I think 3 points for beating him, because his rating dropped to 789. Insane! Not fair!
They are just being silly, they should know that whatever player rated at least 600 points more won't waste his time playing with them, mainly becuse he has nothing to gain from such a game and everything to lose in case of a blunder.
Originally posted by powershakerThis thread has nothing to do with your whinings about your precious rating points, this is like the third or fourth time I hear you cry about that game in this forum in threads that talk about a totally different subject.

Looks like a very odd game to me.
Originally posted by sonhouseI don't think so. In Chess Life, I've seen players rated 1100 winning against Masters. There is always a chance. I think everyone should play everyone on here. I think it's the Master whose probably scared of making a dumb move and losing 30+ points. LOL As for the 1300 player, I think a casual game between a Master and a 1300 player (1 out of a 100 games) might be a learning experience. If you take a 1300 player and he plays a game day against a Master for 1000 years, won't he eventually learn something?

Assuming the game is rated of course. But why would you accept a game like that? Even if the 2000+ guy beats the 1300 guy he still loses points! since the rating difference is more then -400 points. He loses 28 points I believe for the win.

There are no points losses unless the winning player is a provisional and beating a very low rated guy.
If the 2000 rated guy beats the odd 1300 he gets no points.
