Originally posted by bloodyboyI loved this game. Although it was against a 1300-1400 rating strength, I thought it was a beautiful way to win the game. You must look at all the different lines though. I trap his Queen and set up a knight sack to pin his Queen initially. Then, the game ends with a fork to boot. π

Originally posted by RagnorakYes, indeed Ragnorak! Overlooked that one. I was simply trying to trade off the rooks. But, yes, that fork would work, too. There are a lot of tactical ideas I did not probably use. But, I did find some of them. The game would have been even better with that fork though, I have to admit. π Thanks for insight Ragnorak.

p.s. I also saw that 24. Qb5+ also pins the knight to the rook for icing on the cake. π But, that idea is useless when he's already in check in the first place. It just looks a little better though. But, hey, I didn't do such a bad job all the way around. The most difficult move I found I believe by playing Nf6. π

Originally posted by RahimKYeah, I know. But, I just thought it was aesthetically appealing is all. Some beautiful tactical flurries in other words. I am not saying he was necessarily that good of a player though. But, it sort of reminds you of how Morphy treated amateurs. Just because they are weaker, doesn't meant you can't enjoy the kill. π
