I would like to discuss about tournaments na!
why no tournaments 1200-1900 or others rating like 1200-1800...
all the players who have more 1950 are just to play for training and not exchange on the game!
The site don't say nothing and I would like to exchange about that.
I hope to have answer.

If you were 1200 would you like to play 1800s? That's a great way to get to 800 real fast.

Or are you an 1800 just looking for easy meat?

Sounds like Mudfinger, Old Indian or whatever he's calling himself today, has very little imagination and even less to do with his time.

That's not how Elő ratings work. The returns are self-limiting, both up and down. The lower you get, the less you lose against much better players. The higher you get, the less you win against much lower players. If a 1200 player wants to get to 800 fast, he'd have to play first 1000 players and then other 800 players. He might be able to get there playing 1800s - I'd have to do the 'rithmetic to make sure it was even possible - but at any rate, it would take a good long time dropping single point after single point.

Doesn't make the original suggestion any less unfeasible, of course; just not for that reason.
