Conflict makes things more interesting.
What do the words, "Taunt, goad or ridicule rival clans, or just discuss this team based feature" mean to you?
Do you follow any football code? Do fans sit around discussing team based features of the game, or do they get stuck in supporting?
I think the clan system gives posters a chance to support their team/clan in the Clans forum, and I'm all for it. We just need a little commonsense to prevent clan fights from turning into personal vendettas between individuals.
Each clan should name a mascot, which could be the target for the opposing team's arrows and bullets. Choice of mascot could be an interesting exercise for any clan. 🙂

The post that was quoted here has been removedYes, I don't participate in a Clan; and wouldn't in a Team, either. I enjoy playing individual matches.
Still, I do think there's much to be said for changing the name. I'm sure that many Clan members would object, of course. However, I imagine that the Clan community would absorb the change and move on quickly enough if the RHP folks decided to risk foisting the change upon them.
Usually, I dislike polical correctness. But, in this case, I'll side with the wimps.
