We're up late tonight!
I seldom go to bed before 1am EST/EDT.
Until Jesus spoke of such a sin, was it possible to commit it?
Does it strike you as consistent with a merciful God to have a sin that no one knows about that
is unforgivable? That is, if someone died 5 years before Jesus started His ministry and unknowingly
committed the sin of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit, do you think that God would be fully
justified in not erasing that sin come the Resurrection?
And, as I said, when this dispensation ends, then it will be possible to blaspheme the Holy Spirit again.
I misunderstood you. Is it your belief that the dispensation ends with the Second Coming?
Is this clear? Is it interesting as a possibility to you?
Well, my understanding about 'sinning against the Holy Spirit' is totally different, but I've never heard
of the one you're describing, so it's interesting in as much as it is unfamiliar. I'm pretty sure that it
won't resonate with me.

I'm not aware of any mention of the Holy Spirit in the old testament. If no one knows about the sin of blasphemy God would not hold them accountable. I'm not sure about this one. I think I'm getting tiered.
Yes, but this is where it gets complicated. As a dispensationalist, I believe that the "church which is Christ's body", "the body of Christ", is a separate entity from the "kingdom church", which is comprised of all the old testament saints and those who believed in Jesus as their messiah, as preached by Jesus' disciples.
We could take a look at Galatians to start with to clarify some things about what I mean by this.
What does "sinning against the Holy Spirit" mean to you?
I hope we can find some commonality! I'm curious to know what we do agree about.
I think I'll be going to bed. I'll look back tomorrow.
