The truth hurts, doesn't it.
To claim - in terms of gun violence among Black Americans in Chicago - that there is "not a word about it" in the public discourse and political and media domain in the U.S. is an out and out, blatant, intentional lie.
Telling lies, spreading falsehoods, misrepresenting others' views or what they have said, is apparently the most overt political act that you engage in, at least as far as your behaviour in this community is concerned.
And it's just one illustration of what I have been confronting you about on these last few pages.
Like I said, you are as much part and parcel of America's repulsively divisive, dissembling public discourse as any other American posting on this web site, if not - perhaps - its leading proponent.
Originally posted by whodeyIt's on every TV channel. It's in every national newspaper. It's on the radio. It's in the news. It's on talk radio. It's discussed feverishly by pundits, commentators, columnists, in social media, on political and news web sites, on blogs. Even half the world away, in Indonesia, one can witness this. Millions of words, literally, have been generated about the issue. And you claim there's "not a word about it" and slap an "it's the truth" label on the ridiculous thing you've just said?
Thousands of Black have killed themselves in the streets of Chicago and not a word about it.

If a black man pulls out a gun and shoots down a group of other blacks, it will make the local news and right winged news sites breifly. There is no Presidential press conference to talk about gun control because of it. However, if the same thing happens somewhere else then all hell breaks loose in the press. All of a sudden if "whitey" gets gunned down in an area that is no common place in a city that is no dominated by Dims, then it makes national news everywhere and something needs to be done about it.
The same thing can be said about such historical events as the Armenian genocide in Turkey. Sure, there are those who talk about it, but not in comparison to say the Holocaust in Nazi Germany. There are no war reparations paid to the victims like in Germany. I would even wager that the average person never heard about the Armenian genocide, but probably have heard about the Holocaust in Germany.
The simple fact is, this truth is inconvenient. Turkey is a political entity that does not want the bad press, nor do they wish to pay for the sins of the past. Internationally, there is upside to harming relations with the said country, so it is ignored.

Originally posted by FMFWhen Dims passed the ACA there was a big controversy over the ACA funding abortions. Some Dims wanted abortion funding taken out of the legislation or they were not going to vote for it, so it was taken out.

Now that it had passed, Hillary simply was going to put it into the legislation, something that was predictable. Any Dim would have done the same, it was the plan all along.
Even though she failed, another empty suit or dress will do it for her in the future.

That's right, ignore everything I said.
Thanks for that.

Your only apparent interest is to demonize me as usual.

I'm confronting you for how you have been a Trumpist type presence on this web site for years in so far as how you have aligned yourself with the same kind of facetious, dishonest, misanthropic demagoguery day in day out.
Like I said before, you are part and parcel of the sheer mean-spirited ugliness and hate-blog-ethos that is at the forefront in America - Trumpism being the latest manifestation of it - and you like to replicate here on this web site.
Hiding behind the claim that you didn't vote for Trump just won't wash.
