A friend of mine is a very strong Catholic, and very apposed to abortion, and truely thinks it's the crime of the century that abortion is legal. I asked him what happened to the aborted babies, and he said he feels they would go straight to Heaven ,because they had no sin to damn them to Hell. I did not get into the original sin idea. Would that not be a real bitch if the aborted babies went to Hell because of original sin ? The Limbo concept has sort of faded from the Church's doctrine.
If you truely believed that the aborted babies go right into Paradise then it does not seem so horrible does it ?
How come anti abortion people don't have funerals for a miscarriage? It seems like the thing to do if a baby just died.

I don't know if Limbo has "faded from the Church", I still Believe in it, That's what happened to my mom, we had a funeral for him.

I've tried to get pro-life theists to answer this question several times here; no such luck.

If aborted fetuses all go to heaven, then wouldn't it make sense to abort as many of them as possible, to ensure that they don't grow up and reject salvation?

If aborted fetuses all go to hell, does that seem fair in that they never had a chance to be saved?

Perhaps the best answer is "I don't know" - trying to escape the dilemma through ignorance. But then it would require an admission of ignorance on the issue, something that pro-life Christians are not wont to do.

How is that a dilemma at all? A Christian would worry about his own soul first and would therefore avoid butchering fetuses if they really do believe it to be against God's mandate.

Well, that's a rather selfish stance to take.

What more heroic act is possible than that of giving up your own eternal soul to save the eternal souls of others?

They'd have to write a new book of the Bible to commemorate it.
