This virus has hurt religion and lowered it's membership numbers, because they couldn't congregate in a church.. maybe religions aren't valid anymore..

Do you honestly think Christians stopped being Christians because they cannot go to a church? Do you understand how the Christian church started? There were no Christian churches in Jesus' time.

Online services and physical congregations are irrelevant to those who try to keep in touch with the Originator of all there is.

Religion was never valid.

That's basically a marketing tactic.

Being an "un-religion" is in.

I disagree. Religions were and are valid for the people who believe in them, and suitable in different ways for people of different temperaments, during the times that they were (and still are).

On this point cats and frogs will never agree, because it's a discussion that they would never wish to have. It just wouldn't happen because the thought would not occur to them (as far as we know, and yes I know there is quite a bit of racist speculation and presumption going on here).

Not to play guru or brother-rebuker, but if "Religion was never valid" was some kind of judgment, then maybe that's another direction for development or dissolving a crust. 😉

Actually, "relationship" is the correct mindset, and has always been in the heart of God toward man.

Genesis 3:7 marked the beginning of religion when Adam and Eve sewed fig leave together to cover their nakedness. Scripturally, figs are symbolic of religious activity, man's effort to appease God.

"Religion" has its root in the Latin word "ligare", which mean "re-link".

"Religion", and its practice, is essentially just man's attempt to "re-link" with God.

Only God can initiate that relationship.

So, as BigDogg said it's a marketing strategy.

I'm not saying it isn't effective, mind you. But it's definitely marketing.

Your post further confirms it.

God's marketing strategy.

God sent His Son to save and give eternal life to those that believe, free of charge, to restore the relationship between God and man.

Best strategy I know of.

Good. Then it's clear what the product is, right? 🙂
