The atheist claim that God does not exist, is also an indictment on every single believer that ever witnessed, in the history of mankind. Every witness--according to atheists--is either dumb, ignorant, gullible, or dishonest.
There is no reason to disparage a sincere, intelligent truth seeker, theist or not.
Originally posted by @tom-wolseyI was hoping that that was the case. That and your silly attempts to defend it. Never can tell on this forum though.
It was intended to be silly.
Originally posted by @bigdoggproblemIf the atheist claim is true, then what of the believers who passionately insist otherwise? Is there something other than "dumb, ignorant, gullible, or dishonest" that could describe them? I'm all ears! 😀

Even the smartest people among us get hard questions wrong sometimes. Even the best of us have limits.

Oh, and if you don’t see it, that only shows your mind and heart are closed.
Pardon me, but you seem to be a wee bit hoisted on your petard there.
Originally posted by @bigdoggproblemWhat. The "sincere, intelligent" thing? But if a "sincere, intelligent" theist is wrong, then they belong in the ignorant bucket. Not meant derogatorily either. Correct?
I already gave some alternate words to describe them.

Thread update:
Talk has shifted from 'overwhelming' evidence of the Resurrection of Christ to 'plenty' of evidence. By next Wednesday we will arrive at 'some' evidence and by the following Friday at 'my mate Dave heard it down the pub from his mate Wally.'

Atheists on here are a good example of that. They refuse to spend 10 minutes looking at the evidence for Christ’s Resurrection but feel qualified to spend 10 hours arguing that it’s not convincing.
