@vivify saidYou're absolutely right, and I'm actually sad that you left the faith because of "believing unbelievers" within it. The faith is true. It's most of those inside it that are not. It is not a religion of convenience, but almost none seem to grasp that.
I've thought about this. At some point, it doesn't matter if it's "all" Christians or not. The vast majority of Christians, made up of mostly conservatives, support Trump.
The main problem? Too few Christians stand up against the racism, lies and despotism of Trump, while watching the rest of their brothers and sisters in Christ do the exact opposite of everything Jesu ...[text shortened]... publicans, despite "not all" Republicans supporting or even praising Trump.
Same with Christians.

@secondson said"The democrat party is the hypocrite party. The party of the blind leading the blind."
Your error is in politicizing faith.
Your hypocrisy is here; "Jesus actively fought the evil *within* those who called themselves believers. Christians don't do that, and I can't respect Christians because of it. That was my problem back when I was a Christian and was one of the reasons I left the faith."
Why didn't you do what you blame others for not doing since yo ...[text shortened]... of your eye.
The democrat party is the hypocrite party. The party of the blind leading the blind.
Say "Hi" to Trump for me when he comes to reward you for your devotion.

@suzianne saidYou are a moron of the highest order. I already stated in crystal clear language what I thought about Trump. I am not an American so I have no affiliation to any party, neither do I not idolize any individual like you stupid Americans do. You jokers have fan clubs for actors, actresses, sports heroes, politicians etc etc. You people are shallow, and materialistic and you are almost all fake Christians.
I suppose you think that Trump is the greatest Christian ever.
So does he. (Remember, he lies.)
That you believe the lies of the Republican Party (including that they are the party of God) shows exactly what I was just talking about. You're just full of nonsense. I am a better Christian than the majority of Republicans. They are "Christians in Name Only". They are ...[text shortened]... ration of church and state. We are not a theocracy. God belongs in our hearts, not our government.
My comment which you ignored because you know it is true was that Biden and Harris plan to proceed with the following stupid policies which will be their undoing
- encouraging the immigration of illegal aliens
- discourage the consumption of meat
- practice strict gun control.
There are other issues why people will prefer Trump which FMF mentioned, like abortion rights. Your Democratic party which you clearly feel strongly about [clearly idolatry] is going to get clobbered.
@divegeester saidAnd my main point is always that there is a difference, which you refuse to see, and for rather obvious reasons.
Me too; I was just trying to make a point about you “harassing” people as you sometimes do to certain posters.
Not that it worries me, it’s just an observation.
You SEE the word harassment, and you blow it off because you really don't see that it is indeed "persistant", which is a major component of "harassment". And thus, the difference.

I'm genuinely sorry that you consider FMF as a fine example of, well, anything, really.
No, I'm done, I shouldn't even have answered this post. I'm also truly sorry that yet another one who professes to be "Christian" has such a hard time with the teachings of Jesus that they have to support Trump.
Ok, NOW I'm done.

There is no difference in principle, in ethics nor in the terms of service of this site.
You are a hypocrite.

How about the 1619 project where it is being suggested that the history of the US be re-written and is to start from the time African slaves arrived? Whose idea was that? Certainly not Trump.
@suzianne saidWhat Rajk999 said was: "There are other issues why people will prefer Trump which FMF mentioned, like abortion rights." I don't see how that is saying I am "a fine example" of anything. It's simply true to say that many Christians in the U.S. would probably choose Trump, even despite his character flaws, because of their Christian "pro-life" viewpoint on abortion and because Trump would most likely nominate SCOTUS judged who might overturn Roe v Wade..
I'm genuinely sorry that you consider FMF as a fine example of, well, anything, really.

That's the first I ever heard that said by anyone. It's ignorant. No one with half an ounce of common sense believes that, and anyone that puts any stock in the veracity of those that do has no common sense either.

And you're a fool for presuming I'm "devoted" to Trump. I'm devoted to America, the America the liberal left has all but destroyed over the last fifty years, the America you're not old enough to remember.
@secondson saidYou mean the racist segregationist America where women still bowed to their husband's every whim?

Yes, the left has destroyed that America you remember so fondly. Good riddance.

@secondson saidThat was not the Proposition. But that Trump would be seen as a model Christian by anyone seems to be funny or VERY depressing.
Biden is God's man?
I wonder the kind of press Abraham would receive as the most revered patriarch of Christians, Jews and Muslims in today's political climate.
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
