@vivify saidConvenient how you overlooked how the democrat party(liberal left) has enabled the establishment of a holocaust machine of infanticide and a culture of the demoralization of women and children in an environment of pornography.
It's pretty telling that conservatives constantly have to go back two centuries to validate themselves.
If Republicans are racist ones NOW, what does it matter the Dems *used* to be like that many decades ago? It's the Democrats who signed the Civil Rights Act and have since been the party that FAR better represents minorities. This is why the first black candidate for ...[text shortened]... ng’s Family Believes James Earl Ray Was Not His Killer[/b]
And poof, there go all your arguments.
@secondson saidCould you explain the relevance of these points?
Try to remember which party it was that predominantly owned slaves and tried to secede from the union. Try to remember the party affiliation of John Wilkes Booth. Try to remember which party it was that controlled the southern states and created segregation and the suppression of the black man.
And try to remember James Earl Ray, his party affiliation and who he murdered ...[text shortened]... don't forget which party it was, and is, that those who created the KKK and Jim Crow laws belong to.
@secondson saidTrump repented on what when? Adultery? Lying? Just to name two very evident sins he commited and became public without a second thought.
That is correct. Thank God for repentance when one fails.
If another candidate would have said what he said about women (and as far as I know never took back) would you have thought them to be christian?
@bigdoggproblem saidPorn industry
@SecondSon
Are there really more porn stores than McDonald's, or is this merely hyperbole?
(One can make the case that McDonald's is more detrimental to society than porn; porn is not inherently detrimental, while burgers full of Trans fat are.)
Market Size: $10bn
Number of Businesses: 7,928
Industry Employment: 39,131
Internet - 1.3 million websites (Partial list - enough.org)
American children begin consuming hardcore pornography at an average age of 11
Four out of five 16 year-olds regularly access pornography online
The pornography industry is a $97 billion business worldwide
The pornography industry is a $13 billion is in the United States
Internet pornography in the United States is a $3 billion industry
New 2018 Porn Stats (https://www.roadtograce.net/current-porn-statistics/)
There were 4.79 million new videos uploaded to Pornhub
30.3 billion searches — 962 a minute
Every minute sees 63,992 new visitors to the site
Visits to Pornhub totaled 33.5 billion over the course of 2018, an increase of 5 billion visits over 2017
12 new videos and 2 hours of content are uploaded to Pornhub every minute
Once again, the United States continues to be the country with the highest daily traffic to Pornhub
McDonald's (random web search)
13,816 restaurants in the US. with 210,000 employees. 62 million customers.
McDonald's annual/quarterly gross profit history and growth rate from 2006 to 2020. Gross profit can be defined as the profit a company makes after deducting the variable costs directly associated with making and selling its products or providing its services.
McDonald's gross profit for the quarter ending June 30, 2020 was $1.725B, a 39.31% decline year-over-year.
McDonald's gross profit for the twelve months ending June 30, 2020 was $9.788B, a 10.3% decline year-over-year.
62 million customers a year at McDonalds compared to over 63 million visits to porn sites every minute in the US alone.
Hyperbole? Are you joking?! Detrimental to society? You decide. The truth is supported by the facts, and the fact is porn may be the most detrimental force affecting society fiscally, medically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually, globally, than some clogged arteries.
@secondson saidWTF are you talking about? Can you give specific or are you just regurgitating what Fox News spits out?
Convenient how you overlooked how the democrat party(liberal left) has enabled the establishment of a holocaust machine of infanticide and a culture of the demoralization of women and children in an environment of pornography.
@secondson saidYou said stores. Given how old you've made yourself look, it was assumed you meant physical stores.

This is still not a point. There are more websites than physical stores of any kind. There are more sports websites than McDonalds locatation. Want to rail against them too?
@vivify saidYou obviously glossed over my post.

@ponderable saidYou are dangerously teetering on the precipice of hypocrisy.

Cast your stone. Oh! I see you already have.
@secondson saidMy point is that you made a list of irrelevant statements.
Could you make a point?
I was giving you the opportunity to explain why.
If you can't, that's ok.
@bigdoggproblem saidOk thanks. Got your point about the constitution. The main point that I was making was the negative effect the liberalism practiced by the Democrats, is having on society.
The only mention of "God" in the US Constitution is at the end, when the date of signing is given as "Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven".

That is hardly a significant mention of the divine.
To underscore that this omission was done on p ...[text shortened]... ange their tune in a hurry if the government started 'characterizing or worshiping God incorrectly'.
In the lead up to the 2016 election, I was listening to a lot of conservative Christian podcasts.
What struck me the most about these was that they established this marvelous disconnect between what people said was happening (mindless endorsements from evangelicals for Trump) and what was really happening.
A brief rundown:
Albert Mohler (head of the Southern Baptist seminary) - did not endorse Trump, saying it would be hypocritical to endorse an adulterer for President after condemning Clinton on those grounds.
James White (famous Reformed minister & author): Reluctantly endorsed Trump as the only choice but plainly pointed out how much he is wrong in his social life.
Fr. Mitch Pacwa (famous Jesuit Priest with EWTN) Told people that they can only vote for a pro-life candidate; heavily criticized Pres. Trump's personal life.
Fr. Josiah Trenham (famous Orthodox Priest with Ancient Faith) Criticized Trump's personal life extensively, and said that he is the ugly result of what we get when politicains do nothing for so long for the American people -- a populist who speaks to the heart of the issue, but who is deeply flawed. Vaguely endorsed him.
I did not hear a single unqualified endorsement of Pres. Trump from the most famous people in the business from a large cross-section of different denominations.
Quite interesting how this is so grossly misportrayed.
@secondson saidSo, from your own provided numbers, there are 5,888 more McDonald's restaurants than there are porn businesses. Thus, your statement to the contrary was simply false. That's what I meant by "hyperbole". You're letting your moral outrage do the talking, to the point where you cannot be bothered to get your facts straight.

Your last sentence is a classic example of Begging the Question. I have already contested the assertion therein. I'm asking for evidence to support your claim. So far, you have provided none.
