Doing the right thing does not require religion. It requires empathy. If you would not do the right thing without religion, you have no empathy!

Agreed. Would you agree that doing the wrong thing does not require religion?

As I am sure you are aware, it has been said that doing the wrong thing whilst thinking it is the right thing, requires religion. This of course is not restricted to the traditional religions. Stalinism, communism, Nazism and other political movements have religious aspects to them too.

People can do right or wrong things with or without religion.

Joe, that is probably one of the best comments I've seen in this forum since I've been here 🙂

Took a bit of coaching for him to come around to it, though.

The devil is actually the one leading people to do wrong things. No other way.

So what is the "right" thing and the "wrong" thing?

And lastly, who cares what you think?

It's complicated/ My wife is on the board of a school for people with autism. I suggest you google on your question in quotes, just as you state it.

God created the heaven and the earth. He created man in his own image. All was well until the devil came to Eve. People started doing wrong things.

That's certainly one (*unlikely) account.

The spectrum is wide for people diagnosed with autism, but there can be issues with empathy. (Asperger syndrome in particular). However, no two people are alike. (*Identical).
