Have you ever wondered why your god is so absent lately?

Not sure why you think that it could suggest that.

The point is that those who do not recognize the fact that "the Bible is widely open to interpretation and contains inconsistencies, discrepancies and outright contradictions" delude themselves into believing that they understand "the word of God" when they actually only understand their own interpretation. Such people are dangerous.

He isn't absent, have you wondered why God seems so far from you? The God of the Bible promises many things, one is to never leave us or forsake us, and Jesus promised to send us the Holy Spirit who would teach us, guide us, and share with us about Christ. If you don't have the Spirit of God, then I suggest that you turn to God and not stop praying until there is nothing between you and God.

Let's start simpler and work up to it. Is there a strong argument supporting the temporally finite torture of one person? What is it?

Edit: assuming that the person's circumstances are representative of those of the billions mentioned in the initial query.
Torture is not a good thing.
Let's go up from there.

It also makes no sense that I was a regular message board user (of this type) and after just a few years on facebook I've totally forgotten how to navigate. One advantage of Alzheimers is, I get to watch movies for the first time, over and over.
Ah @sumydid.
Welcome back then, and thanks for the contribution.

But he has provided no "proofs", just his word, and after a few questions that has been accepted.

"Jesus became sin for us" .. oh good. Now we have no sin because of him right?
Happy days 🙂

Those who ignore you presumably do so for a reason, which you then ignore, 'for some reason'.

My doctrine hasn't changed. Much. Or matured? And after 9 pages, you still insist that I believe in eternal torment.

I don't know if it's a reading comprehension thing, or something else. But I can empathize, at least. I'm having a hard time keeping up with the messages and I'm missing some. But I haven't been around for several years. What's your excuse? 😵

Your "for absolutely no reason" is a bald-faced lie. For you, 'saving face' is more important than the truth, a trait you share with others on this forum whose morals are 'questionable', to be kind.

Actually it doesn't. Everything in The book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is symbolic; even "fire and brimstone" is symbolic of purging and cleansing. You're on the right track, keep at it and demand coherent answers from the hell fire supporters.
Even this claim of 'symbolism' can be taken too far. The answer is in discernment.
