Having done considerable study and investigation now into the Recovery Movement I am certain that it poses as big a risk to traditional Christianity as beliefs held by Jehovah Witnesses or those nurtured by cults or mysticism.

Sure, who knows. Your God seems quite particular about who is and who isn't saved. Perhaps He frowns heavily on anyone who believes they will become a God, even those who have been led astray by a false prophet.
