@pb1022 saidCan anyone dispute a single thing I said in this post?
I embrace science.
But the theory of evolution is not science.
It doesn’t follow the Scientific Method because one species turning into another species was neither observed nor demonstrated by an experiment. And there have been attempts at the latter with bacteria and fruit flies, which have very short generational spans.
As far as I know, the only “evidence” for macr ...[text shortened]...
It’s clearly not science and those who don’t believe it are not against science. We’re for science.

@avalanchethecat saidI've arranged to book a lab next Tuesday afternoon where I will demonstrate one species evolving into another. If I fail to achieve this, before the sandwiches arrive, it will evidence that evolution doesn't happen.
So... you've got nothing?

@sonship saidWay to miss the point/irony big guy.

You mean if the sandwiches arrive 20 million years from now?
Evolution 'can not' be demonstrated due to the time scale required. Well done.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidAre you suggesting the scientists who tried to demonstrate speciation with bacteria and fruit flies were fools?

And I don’t care *why* macroevolution hasn’t been observed or demonstrated by an experiment.
The fact remains it hasn’t and therefore does not follow the Scientific Method.

So that is why some of us ask ourselves - "Wait. Is this science conclusively proven such that it is foolish to question it? Or is this something like a philosophy or religion coming across as SO OBVIOUS how could anyone DARE to doubt?"
It takes a person of faith to recognize another person of faith.
I admit I have faith.
My NT told me up front " These things are written so that you may believe. . . "
I admit I have a belief.
Don't come to me with something not proven in lab (and unable to do so for whatever reason) and not seen and not demonstrated and say "I have science. YOU . . . tsk, tsk, . ... only have a belief."

@avalanchethecat saidAnd I’m still waiting for you to provide evidence of macroevolution.
Still waiting for your 'scientific' theory to explain the fossil record. On an unscientific one. Anything at all, basically.
And I asked you first 😉

@sonship saidThe theory of evolution is the religion of atheists. It’s how they justify their atheism.

More evidence exists for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ than exists for the complexity of life we see today being the result of blind chance (random mutations and natural selection.)
Not to mention evolutionists/atheists can’t even hypothesize how life began.

@avalanchethecat saidI don’t recall evidence being provided. What was it?
Evidence was provided, you didn't accept it. Do you have an alternative theory at all?
Saying “The fossil record” and “A lot of scientists believe it” isn’t evidence 😉

@pb1022 saidIf you are able to dismiss the fossil record with a silly 'wink' emoji, there is nothing I can provide which will satisfy you.

It's looking like you have no alternative theory at all, which rather suggests that your only purpose in repeatedly asserting that the theory of evolution is 'unscientific' is trolling. No real surprise there.
