@divegeester saidwhy an omnipotent, omnipresent, omnibenevolent God would arrange himself and his perfect creation in such a way that the vast majority of those whom he “loved so much” he would subsequently FAIL to save, and for him (God) to end up being forced by his own standards of so-called righteousness to personally burn alive billions of people for all eternity.
Yes, something like that.
The philosophical question which challenges the mainstream versions of Christianity is … why an omnipotent, omnipresent, omnibenevolent God would arrange himself and his perfect creation in such a way that the vast majority of those whom he “loved so much” he would subsequently FAIL to save, and for him (God) to end up being forced by his own ...[text shortened]... nce anyone could make up.
So it, or at least major parts of it, must be wrong.
Simple as that.
That answer had been given to you multiple times, but we'll try it again: God does not wish anyone to perish, nor does God take pleasure in the destruction of others. The price of saving you from eternal damnation in hell (which you seem fixated on) was paid in full 2000 years ago when a Jewish carpenter was beaten, whipped, and hung on a cross to die. All that is asked of you is you accept him as the one who did so and acknowledge him as the son of God.
That's not so very much to ask.
If you, Gertrude and others here won't even do that, then you will have no one to blame but yourselves when things turn out badly for you in the hereafter of your lives. If you want to go on thinking this is "most ludicrous construction of moral ineptitude and logical incoherence anyone could make up" that's your privilege, but the fact remains everything that can be done to keep you from hell has already been done. I hope you folks make the right choice. 🙂
@mchill saidgod must take pleasure in the suffering of others

he did destroy the world out of a fit of jealousy and anger
by his own words he is not perfect
@gertrude saidDo you think that love can be programmed into a life and it is real? How about can love be forced into someone by threatening them? If love is real would the ability to say no also have be just as real?
I'm talking about preventing evil
can god prevent evil?
@mchill saidSuch an obvious mind control trick, yet so many billions have fallen for it.

If we ever needed a reminder of the limits of human reasoning, this is it.
@kellyjay saidin the meantime He is saving as many of us as turn to Him ...to save them from the "Satan" figure that you believe he himself created... mmm
Yes, and He is going to, in the meantime He is saving as many of us as turn to Him.
Sounds like the psychological profile of a wife-beater or child abuser.
